The Guild of Our Lady of La Leche

For centuries, Our Lady of La Leche (Nuestra Senora de la Leche y Buen Parto-Our Lady of the Milk and Safe Birth) has been a powerful intercessor for prayers of all needs, especially mothers, fathers and their families experiencing problems with conception, pregnancy, birth, the special needs of babies and children, marriage and family life. Our Lady is everyone’s mother, and is available to play an active role in our lives no matter what our needs are.

 

When Spanish missionaries first brought this devotion to Our Lady of La Leche to America (St. Augustine-1565) no one could foretell the countless number of blessings her intercession would provide!

 

The Guild of Our Lady of La Leche recognizes this growing devotion to Our Lady’s intercession and offers benefits similar to guilds in Medieval time. A guild provides an opportunity for people with similar goals to band together and edify each other. As Guild of OLLL members, we are united by our love for our Blessed Mother and belief in Her powerful intercession with Her Son, Jesus.  Our primary role as a member of the Guild of OLLL is to pray each day for Our Blessed Mother’s intercession on behalf of all the prayer intentions offered in the Santa Fe Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche.
